A win on the road is one thing, but the Houston Texans want it loud Sunday night against the Chicago Bears.
The Texans begin their season 1-0 after securing a 29-27 victory over the Indianapolis Colts thanks to a solid debut from running back Joe Mixon. The former Pro Bowl rusher picked up 159 yards with his legs and 18 more through the air while setting the tone in the second half against Anthony Richardson and an explosive offense.
Newcomer Stefon Diggs caught two touchdown passes from C.J. Stroud, including the eventual game-winner in the fourth quarter. Nico Collins, who continues to dominate against the Colts, led the team with six catches for 117 yards, including a massive 3rd-and-11 pick-up with just under two minutes remaining.
On Tuesday, the Texans released their unofficial depth chart heading into the season opener against the Chicago Bears. Overall, there weren’t many adjustments, minus the departure of those who didn’t make the active 53-man roster. No, just because someone ranks ahead of someone else doesn’t mean they’ll see a majority of reps. And yes, while it says unofficial, best believe these are where players currently rank heading into the year.
Here’s the Texans’ first unofficial defensive depth chart before Sunday’s game.
