MINNEAPOLIS — Another Sunday, another round of milestones for Justin Jefferson.
The Vikings receiver recorded his 400th career reception, tying Ahmad Rashad for eighth in Vikings franchise history, on Sunday against the 49ers.
Jefferson tied Rashad with his fourth catch of the game — a 15-yarder over the middle during Minnesota’s final possession of the first half. The drive ended with a 39-yard field goal by Will Reichard for a 13-7 halftime lead.
Jefferson’s third reception of the game was one for the ages. On second-and-9 from the Minnesota 3-yard line, the Vikings got aggressive and reaped the reward.
The offensive line gave Sam Darnold a protected pocket, and Darnold uncorked a deep one that Jefferson ran under in stride. He Super Tecmo Bowled the Niners defense by zipping to the 20-yard marker on his left before reversing course and winning the race to the right pylon. Jalen Nailor hustled down the field to make sure Jets landed in the end zone.
