Jordan Seaton developing nicely early in Colorado football career

No Colorado football position group was under more pressure to perform this year than the offensive line.

After struggling most of last season, especially in pass protection, the O-line needed an infusion of talent. Because of this, the spotlight on freshman left tackle Jordan Seaton has been blinding. Seaton has had two strong games sandwiched around a rough performance at Nebraska, which is typical for a freshman adjusting to the college game.

Still, head coach Deion Sanders believes the rookie is coming along nicely. Coach Prime met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the Buffs’ upcoming game with the Baylor Bears and was asked about Seaton’s ongoing development:

“Jordan is coming,” Sanders said. “Slowly but surely, he’s understanding footwork and technique is everything because at this level, you can’t overpower, overmuscle or out-athletic others. He’s doing a great job of listening to some of the best teachers that I’ve seen in quite a long time. Phil (Loadholt) and Gunnar (White) and big George (Hegamin), all them chime in to complete these guys. But I love where Jordan is mentally and physically.”
