Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola is ready for Purdue

Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola met with the media on Tuesday afternoon. The freshman spoke about the Husker’s loss to Illinois last Friday and the preparation for his first start on the road as a college quarterback.

Through three games this season, Raiola has thrown for 967 yards and eight touchdowns with two interceptions. He ranks fourth in the Big Ten in passing yards and is tied for second with four other quarterbacks for touchdown passes.

It’s been a big week for the Raiola family. High school junior Dayton Raiola, Dylan’s brother, committed to the Huskers earlier this week, becoming the first member of the class of 2026.

Defensive back Isaac Gifford, defensive lineman Nash Hutmacher, and wide receiver Jahmal Banks also met with the press.

Nebraska will travel to West Lafayette this Saturday to face the Purdue Boilermakers. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. CT, and the game can be seen on Peacock.

“I think we handled it very well. I think the coaches gave us the right tools to handle the defense. We pretty much saw everything they had coming at us. I think that just goes back to Coach (Satterfield) preparing us and having the right game plan in place for us to be successful.”

“Nothing changes for us other than we will be wearing white jerseys instead of red. We will try to go out there and play our best football. It will just be in a different stadium. I think everyone is excited to have a change of scenery and be in a different state and stadium. All the guys are excited and we all get to be together on the road, which makes it even better.”
