QB Holton Ahlers
Heading into the inaugural season in the UFL, the Arlington Renegades boasted one of the top QB rooms in the league. They acquired Lindsey Scott Jr. and Holton Ahlers, to go alongside the return of Luis Perez.
Breaking: QB Holton Ahlers has signed a LOI with the Arlington Renegades, per @PR927FM.
Ahlers spent his college days at @ECUPiratesFB, where he racked up over 13,900 passing yards and 97 touchdowns. Recently spent time in the NFL with Seattle. #XFL #USFL #UFL pic.twitter.com/mVU9RVZoJ4

Ahlers impressed in Training Camp, but entered the season as QB3 on the roster. He remained there until the final two weeks of the year, where he was QB2 – and actually got on the field for a grand total of three snaps. For whatever reason, Ahlers simply wasn’t utilized at all by Arlington this year.

He’s got plenty of upside, having an outstanding career at ECU where he posted 13,900 passing yards and 97 touchdowns. On top of that, Ahlers is a dual threat quarterback; using his legs to make something out of nothing. If Luis Perez doesn’t return to Arlington, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Holton get more flight in 2025 in Chuck Long’s offense.
