The lack of press coverage started long before Vic Fangio arrived, with Jonathan Gannon and Sean Desai employing the concept of playing cornerbacks five or six yards off. This season, the Eagles have had no cornerbacks in the press on 88% of their snaps, which is by far the NFL’s highest rate.

We understand that we do not want to give up big plays on the back end, but the Birds have to do more to impede opposing wide receivers from running their full route tree.
