The Scarlet Knights rank first in the Big with an average time of possession of 32:36, while averaging 205.8 rushing yards per game to rank fourth in the league. That includes two games with over 250 rushing yards and blocking for RB Kyle Monangai, the nation’s fourth leading rusher at 133.4 yards per game. RU has held opponents to eight sacks and has six games since 2023 with none allowed.
OL Hollin Pierce leads the group with 42 consecutive starts, while OL Gus Zilinskas (21 career starts), OL Kwabena Asamoah (13 career starts) and OL Tyler Needham (seven career starts) have also started all five games this season. OL Bryan Felter started the first four games, while OL Taj White made his first starting assignment last week.
Pat Flaherty is in his 10th season overall as Rutgers’ offensive line coach, also winning two Super Bowls with the New York Giants as part of more than two decades in the NFL. Felter, Pierce and Zilinskas all earned All-Big Ten recognition in 2023.
Overall, 22 units are on the Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll. Semifinalists will be announced Nov. 12.
