The Commanders have gotten by playing mistake-free football, which includes not turning the ball over. Washington has run well, protected Daniels, and not dropped many passes, and he’s done his part. On Sunday, there were mistakes everywhere, but Daniels still had his team in it at the end. Who believes that if officials hadn’t ruled Zach Ertz short on fourth down, Daniels would’ve led the Commanders to the win? He didn’t need many yards to get the job done.

Here is where we are: Daniels has raised the bar—Washington’s bar, his bar—and when he’s not perfect, you think he has a bad performance. Daniels wasn’t bad. He was facing an excellent defense and under pressure throughout the game. He held up well.
