Five Reasons Texas A&M ends Auburn’s postseason hopes on Saturday

The Auburn Tigers (4-6) enter their final home game of the season in desperation mode seeking a win to cling on to bowl eligibility hopes. The task won’t be easy with No. 14 Texas A&M (8-2) coming to the Plains hoping to bolster its College Football Playoff resume. Head coach Mike Elko’s Aggies have plenty of opportunity in front of them with No. 3 ranked Texas still waiting in the wings next week, but in order to make that game mean something, Texas A&M needs to take care of business on the Plains first.

The Walker, LA native rushed for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns this season while surpassing the 80-yard mark in six of the Aggies 10 games before he went down with a season-ending knee injury. Backup Amari Daniels has picked up the mantle from the star back since he went down, rushing for back-to-back games of 80+ yards as well. Auburn’s front seven cannot afford to give Daniels, or quarterback Marcel Reed, any kinds of space on Saturday.
