UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Athletics received a $1 million gift for the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project from a family who chooses to remain anonymous. The family, which includes multiple Penn State alums, has also been longtime supporters of Intercollegiate Athletics, Smeal College of Business and THON.
“We are deeply grateful for the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous donor family whose $1 million gift will have a lasting impact on the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project,” said Dr. Patrick Kraft, vice president for intercollegiate athletics. “This gift and the others we have received to date are a powerful testament to the broad support for our community and the exciting future ahead for our stadium.”
Support from donors is vital in allowing Penn State Athletics to execute a renovation plan that will not only preserve the rich history of Beaver Stadium, but also modernize the facility while making it a year-round venue. The Beaver Stadium Revitalization project will provide increased revenue benefiting all 31 sports programs at University Park and foster economic growth in the region.
