ROSEMONT, Ill. – University of Maryland senior wide receiver Tai Felton was named First Team All-Big Ten and five total Terrapins earned all-conference accolades as the league announced its 2024 honorees on Tuesday.
Felton was selected First Team All-Big Ten by both the coaches and the media. He’s the first Terp receiver to be named first team all-conference since DJ Moore in 2017.
Maryland defensive back Dante Trader Jr. and punter Bryce McFerson were each named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by both the coaches and the media, while linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II and defensive back Glendon Miller were each named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by the media.
Felton led the Big Ten in both receptions (96) and receiving yards (1,124) and finished tied for third in receiving touchdowns (9). He finished the season with 15 more receptions than the next closest Big Ten player and 140 more receiving yards. Felton’s 96 receptions, which were the most among all Power Conference players, set a Maryland single-season program record. A Biletnikoff Award semifinalist, Felton had five or more receptions in 11 games and he led the conference with five 100-yard receiving games.
Hyppolite II led the Terps and tied for 26th in the Big Ten with 66 total tackles (33 solo). He also added 6.5 tackles for loss (tied-for third on the team), two pass breakups and an interception. The Fort Lauderdale, FL native had five or more tackles in eight different games and had seven…
