5 biggest storylines in Week 14

The Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars face off in the first of two meetings between the two teams on Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee. Since 1999, the Titans are 19-6 at home against the Jags and look to become the fourth team with 20 or more home wins against an opponent since 1999 (Green Bay Packers over Detroit Lions (20), Minnesota Vikings over Detroit Lions (20), and Pittsburgh Steelers over the Cleveland Browns (23)).

As 3.5-point favorites, the Titans look to rebound from last week’s loss to the Washington Commanders with a win over Jacksonville this week. In order to do that, they have to focus on not committing avoidable mistakes, which have hurt them the last few weeks.

Heading into this AFC South divisional matchup, there are five major storylines to follow.

Kinsey is known for his solid special teams play, so he will likely spend most of his time there. Awuzie and Brooks add depth to the slim secondary. Odukoya adds blocking ability along the line, while Hambright adds depth to an offensive line that has almost zero backups.

There will also be staffers wearing specially designed shoes for the same reason. A few of the players participating are T’vondre Sweat, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Jarvise Brownlee Jr., Darrell Baker Jr., Daniel Brunskill, and Julius Chestnut.

Playoff math

As crazy as it sounds, the Titans have not been eliminated from playoff contention. If they win the rest of their games in 2024, they will have done their part. Now, they will need some help from other teams to lose games if they want a real shot at winning, but…
