One anytime TD scorer to bet in Week 15

Dolphins’ Malik Washington ‘flushed’ mistake with game-saving play

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been leading the charge back from a 2-6 record to just a couple games out of the playoffs with wins in four out of the last five weeks. Tagovailoa is currently on a three-game streak passing for over 300 yards and multiple touchdowns with no interceptions.

Up next is a game against the Houston Texans that looks to be the most difficult remaining on the Dolphins schedule. After Week 15, the last three teams left for the Dolphins all have losing records.

One of the most popular ways to bet on an NFL game is the anytime touchdown scorer prop. You bet on one player to score a touchdown, and if they do, you make money.

Sounds simple, right?

It’s not as easy as it seems, but it is rewarding when the player you bet does find the end zone – especially if he plays for your team.

Malik Washington anytime TD scorer: +700

Washington has earned himself a growing role with this Dolphins team. This season, the rookie has caught 10 passes for 54 yards. He also scored a rushing touchdown on the opening drive in the Dolphins’ Week 12 win against the Los Angeles Rams.

Washington has primarily been used as a kick and punt returner but has seen enough offensive snaps to be accounted for by opposing teams. His 30 snaps last week were a career high. With Odell Beckham Jr. no longer on the Miami roster, it should provide even more opportunities for rookie Washington who has established himself as the clear cut third wide receiver.

With Texans edge rushers Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr. likely to collapse the pocket around Tagovailoa, along with corners Derek Stingley Jr. and Kamari Lassiter making downfield throws more difficult, using Washington in the short passing game or with end-arounds might work in the Dolphins’ favor.

Selecting Washington for an anytime TD might be risky, but the season is on the line for the Dolphins against a very good opponent. They will need to think outside the box and utilize more weapons than usual in order to pull this game out. At seven-to-one, Washington presents a great return value if he can find the end zone.
