The latest on Browns rookie DT

Browns designate Mike Hall Jr. for return from Injured Reserve

After suffering a major knee injury in Week 18, the Cleveland Browns have provided an update on rookie defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr.

The Browns’ second-round draft pick suffered a right knee injury in the team’s final game of the season, ending his rookie year just a bit short. During this time, he collected 14 total tackles and a solo sack, a solid start for a rookie defensive tackle. Browns general manager Andrew Berry offered a small update on Hall’s status and injury timeline.

Berry stated that Michael Hall Jr.’s recovery timeline will take “months.” The rookie may require surgery to repair his knee, but there are no official plans for it at this time. Either way, the Browns’ general manager said he expects Hall to be ready for the start of the 2025 season.

Cleveland hopes to have him back to full health at the start of next season, as he is expected to take on a much larger role in the future.
