Mizzou Earns Two on CSC Academic All-District Team

Graduate student quarterback Brady Cook and graduate student wide receiver Theo Wease Jr. both garnered acknowledgments. Cook earned recognition for the second consecutive season, while Wease Jr. received nods for the first time.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Two University of Missouri student-athletes were named to the 2024 Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.

Graduate student quarterback Brady Cook and graduate student wide receiver Theo Wease Jr. both garnered acknowledgments. Cook earned recognition for the second consecutive season, while Wease Jr. received nods for the first time.

Mizzou was joined by Alabama (four), Auburn (one), Georgia (two), Kentucky (four), Oklahoma (four), South Carolina (seven), Tennessee (two), Texas (three) and Vanderbilt (seven) as the SEC programs with at least one selection this season.

To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve, achieve sophomore standing at their current school, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and be nominated by his sports information director.

By virtue of their placement on the all-district team, Cook and Wease Jr. will advance to the CSC Academic All-America Team ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees being announced January 28.
