Guiton will coach the Badger QBs after leading UW’s wide receivers in 2024

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin football head coach Luke Fickell announced Kenny Guiton as Quarterbacks Coach on Wednesday morning. Guiton will lead the Badgers’ signal callers after one season as UW’s Wide Receivers Coach.

“After a thorough search of candidates, we realized that we had the best quarterbacks coach candidate right here on our staff in Coach Guiton,” Fickell said. “His familiarity with our program and knowledge of the quarterback position make him a great fit. I’m excited to watch him lead that room and pass along his passion and experience to that group.”

Guiton joined the Badgers’ staff last January and directed the UW wideouts in 2024. Under Guiton’s tutelage, five different Wisconsin wideouts caught multiple touchdowns for the first time in program history. Guiton also helped lead the UW QB room during the final stretch of the season.

“I’m excited to take over a new role leading our quarterback room,” said Guiton. “After playing the position at the college level, I’m fired up for the chance to coach the QB room and help our offense grow and compete at a high level. I’ve loved working with our receivers over the last year, and I can’t wait to work as an offensive unit to reach our potential as a team.”

Guiton helped junior receiver Vinny Anthony II to a breakout season in 2024 that included a team-high 672 yards and four touchdowns on 39 catches. Anthony grabbed six passes of 40+ yards, the second-most in the Big Ten.

Before joining the Badgers’ staff, Guiton led the Arkansas wide receivers unit from 2021-23. He assumed offensive coordinator duties for the final stretch of the 2023 season. Guiton has also made stops as a wide receivers coach at Colorado State (2020), Louisiana Tech (2019) and Houston (2017-18).

Guiton has been praised as an excellent recruiter and was named to 247Sports’ “30 Under 30” as one of the nation’s top young assistant coaches in 2020 during his stint at Colorado State.
