Is Bucs DB playing today vs Commanders?

The Bucs fought their way into the NFL playoffs by winning the NFC South with a record of 10-7 in the regular season. They did it, and now they face off against a team they handled in Week 1 in a one-sided matchup: the Washington Commanders.

In that matchup, we saw Antoine Winfield Jr. do a great job of patrolling the field and containing the ever-elusive Jayden Daniels. After missing the last four weeks, is the former All-Pro safety going to be playing for the Bucs on Sunday?

Antoine Winfield Jr. injury update

Antoine Winfield Jr. will be active, according to the team, for Sunday’s Wild Card matchup against the Washington Commanders. While he is officially listed as questionable, ESPN is reporting that he is expected to play.

Winfield Jr. being back in the lineup will allow a defense that has come a long way in finding itself to get even better. As it relates to Commanders specifically, Winfield Jr. was a major part of the reason as to why the game was so one-sided for the Bucs in Week 1.
