Patriots OL coach leaves for another opportunity in AFC

New England Patriots offensive line coach Scott Peters has accepted the offensive line coaching job for the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals announced the news in a social media post on Monday.

Peters led a Patriots offensive line unit that struggled both in pass protection and run blocking throughout the season. It didn’t help that the unit was lacking in the personnel department, and they were also plagued with injuries throughout the year.

The unit allowed 52 sacks on the season, which was the fifth-most in the NFL.

Peters came over to New England from the Cleveland Browns, where he was the assistant offensive line coach from 2020-2023. His departure marks yet another major staff change since Mike Vrabel was hired as head coach.

Who will the Patriots bring in to coach the offensive line?

That’ll be the question now as the new coaching staff continues to take shape under Vrabel.
