This past Friday, the Arlington Renegades signed three players. They brought back OL Garrett McGhin and S Myles Dorn, while acquiring RB Kalen Ballage who’s a familiar face in the spring scene.
The Arlington Renegades have re-signed OT Garrett McGhin, and S Myles Dorn. McGhin missed this past season due to a camp injury.
Additionally, they’ve signed RB Kalen Ballage – who most recently was with the @XFLBrahmas. #UFL

RB Kalen Ballage
Kalen Ballage is a really interesting pickup by GM Rick Mueller. Arlington already has a few backs on the roster, but since De’Veon Smith hasn’t re-signed yet, it makes one wonder if Kalen will end up being a replacement, given their similar rushing styles.
Ballage played his college football at Arizona State, racking up 1,984 yards and 27 touchdowns across his career there. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, and ended up seeing quite a bit of action. In the NFL, Ballage has 665 yards and seven scores to his name as a RB.
Kalen ended up making his way to the XFL in 2023, starting in five games for the San Antonio Brahmas. Ballage was placed on injured reserve midway through the season, after rushing for 149 yards. He wasn’t picked up by any UFL teams after the merger went through, leaving him without a roster spot.
The biggest kickoff return of the night comes from San Antonio via Kalen Ballage!

Now, a healthy Ballage will look to re-establish himself in the pro scene, with Arlington.
