Football To Host Homecoming, Senior Day Against OSU

THE GAME –  Sun Devil Football returns home for the final time this season, preparing to celebrate both Homecoming and Senior Day as it hosts #23 Oregon State on Saturday, Nov. 19 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe. The game is scheduled for a 12:15 p.m. AZT kickoff  and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 (Anish Shroff, Brock Osweiler, Taylor McGregor on the call) and will be carried over the airwaves on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM (Tim Healey, Jeff Van Raaphorst, Kevin Turner).

ON THE BEAVERS –  After three straight games in Corvallis, the series finally returns to Tempe with ASU owning a 30-15-1 all-time record in the series and 21-4 record in games played at Sun Devil Stadium. Bizaree scheduling has seen five of the last six games in the series played in Corvallis and this marking the first return trip for the Beavers to the Valley since 2018. That was the lone game played in Arizona in the series since 2014-present. The team’s have split the last ten games in the series.

KICKING OFF

• ASU has held opponents to less than 30 points in 33 of 53 games since 2018 (62.3 percent), notable as it DID allow 30+ in 32 of 43 previous games (74.4 percent) in a span from 2013-17.
• Since 2018, ASU has held opponents to 400 total yards of offense or less on 29 occasions over 53 games (54.7 percent of the time). For comparison, ASU accomplished the feat just 24 times in the 65 previous games (36.9 percent) from 2013-2017.
• The Sun Devils had their streak of posting an interception in 11 straight games ended against Washington State. The team has one 16 of the last 18 games.
• ASU also had its streak of games with at least one takeaway ended at 18 straight games against WSU. It was the second-longest streak in the FBS entering the weekend.
• Since 2018, ASU has rushed for 100+ yards in 42 of 53 games (79.2 percent). That will be a number to keep an eye on with the Beavers coming in allowing just 107.1 rush yards per game on defense – leading the Pac-12 anf 15th in the FBS – and having just given up nine against Cal last weekend.
• While ASU’s sack totals haven’t quite been there this year, the team’s defensive linemen (interior and edge defenders only) have combined for 28 QB hits on the season, tied for the 24th-most of any defensive line in the FBS. The group also has 104 total hurries, 20th among all FBS defensive lines.
