Ty’Son Williams posts Instagram message after Ravens withdraw tender

The Baltimore Ravens had plenty of depth at running back entering the 2021 season. However, they lost a myriad of their players at the position to injuries including J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill, causing the team to pivot to other options. One of those options was second-year player Ty’Son Williams, who made an impact very early in the year but found himself in head coach John Harbaugh’s doghouse and couldn’t quite find his way out of it for the remainder of the season.

On Tuesday the Ravens decided to withdraw their tender for Williams after signing veteran running back Mike Davis. After the news was announced, Williams took to Instagram and posted a message on his story, saying that he was grateful for being given an opportunity and there’s nothing but love.

Williams had a great preseason for Baltimore, but couldn’t translate it into consistent regular season success. A change of scenery for Williams could benefit him in a big way, as his time with the Ravens unfortunately didn’t work out in the way any party would have liked.
