Alabama only had two players selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft: offensive tackle Evan Neal and wide receiver Jameson Williams. While having any first-round selections from one program might be a dream for many programs, it’s a bit of a down year for the Crimson Tide.
The 2022 Alabama roster is loaded with returning talent the either decided to return for one more season despite being eligible or players that were underclassmen unable to declare for the draft.
Next year’s 2023 NFL draft is slated to have multiple Crimson Tide stars in Round 1. Som mock drafts predict Alabama will tie or break the record of six players selected on the first night.
The latest mock draft done by Luke Easterling of the Draft Wire projects only four players to be drafted in the first round.
