Nebraska Football History: All-Time career rushing leaders

The running game. The option. The fullback. The pulling guard. The I-formation. These are all terms that were once synonymous with Nebraska football. There was a time when the running game was, in fact, the single most identifiable thing about the Cornhuskers as a program. But, how the times have changed? This is a program that has not had a single 1,000-yard rusher since Devine Ozigbo in 2018 (1,082 yards).

The I-formation was once such a defining feature of the Nebraska offense that the running backs themselves were call I-backs and there are several I-backs that left an indelible mark on the Husker record book. Let us not forget the option either, and the quarterbacks who made it work, whether they operated out of the Power-I or spread. Who was the best of the best, though, when it came to toting the rock? Who are the ones who not only achieved success on the field but sustained it too. Who are the men that left behind a legacy for future Huskers to live up to? Take a look below to see who the most successful career rushers are in Nebraska football history.
