Arkansas Football Depth Chart: Examining the OL

The Arkansas offense is loaded with potential talent. But, as everyone knows, your offense is only as strong as your offensive line.

Outside of KJ Jefferson at the quarterback position, Arkansas’ offensive line is the most-loaded unit on the offensive side of the ball. Rightfully so, as head coach Sam Pittman emphasizes the important of a great offensive line over any other position.

When assessing offensive lines across the country, On3 says that the Razorbacks have the seventh-best line heading into this season, and the second-best unit in the SEC. On3 says that size and experience are the strong points for the Razorbacks’ line.

The Hogs are a physical running team, and a line with four returning starters will lead the way. Wagner (6-9, 337) is a behemoth at right tackle. Stromberg will be a third-year starter.

Here is a look at Arkansas’ projected starting five across the line this season:

The only spot that Arkansas will not have a starter on the line, is at left tackle. Wagner’s experience will be beneficial as Arkansas’ backfield looks for protection around the edges and he shifts from the right.

KJ Jefferson should have no issues carrying the football thanks in large part to the guards. Limmer joins Brady Latham as returners in the middle, which should help the lesser-experienced running backs earn more yards.

Center – Ricky Stromberg

Stromberg returns this season with All-SEC honors from a season ago. What makes Pittman the happiest about Stromberg, is that he elected to return to Arkansas instead of leaving for the NFL. This season, expect Stromberg to make strides to improve his game, and the entire offense.
