The start of the 2022 season is just over two weeks away as the Wisconsin Badgers are set to host the Illinois State Redbirds on Sept. 3.
Going into the season Graham Mertz is looking for a bounce-back season in his redshirt junior season. In the pandemic-shortened season of 2020, it appeared as though the Badgers found a diamond in Mertz. However, last season was anything but promising for the young quarterback.
The 2022 campaign will be pivotal for both the quarterback and the staff. Mertz needs to step up his level of play if Wisconsin hopes to reclaim the Big Ten West crown.
As the season approaches, Badgers Wire breaks down the redshirt junior quarterback’s situational stats. All statistics courtesy of Stats Perform.
