CU Buffs wide receiver room getting healthier

The Colorado Buffaloes watched a long list of wide receivers leave via the transfer portal this past offseason.

They did bring in RJ Sneed II, but there are a ton of question marks in the WR room. Sneed, who practiced for the first time this preseason on Monday following an injury, should lead the way and see plenty of work from whichever quarterback is throwing the ball. Senior Daniel Arias should also be a heavy factor in the offense.

However, there are a couple of other players who are inching closer to a full return after injuries: Grant Page and Ty Robinson.

Robinson missed all of spring ball with an injury, and Page played just five games in his final high school campaign last year due to a knee injury, so it has been a tough stretch for both pass-catchers.

Nonetheless, head coach Karl Dorrell is excited for these guys to get rolling and return to full strength (h/t Brian Howell of Buff Zone).

“It was great to see (Robinson) make a couple plays (in Saturday’s scrimmage), coming off his injury last spring,” Dorrell said. “We’re just getting those guys out there playing again and coming off of these injuries that they’ve had, trying to work their way back.”

“Grant is gonna be a really good player, too, in time when he’s really recovered.”

With all of the uncertainty on offense, the Buffs could use some fresh legs for Brendon Lewis or JT Shrout to utilize.
