Pro Boilers: Week 2 – Purdue Boilermakers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –  There are currently 16 Purdue alumni lacing it up on NFL rosters or practice squads. Twelve Boilermakers got on to the field in week two, highlighted by a matchup between NFL rookies and former teammates Zander Horvath and George Karlaftis.

Here is a recap of Pro Boilers during week two of the 2022 NFL season:

Markus Bailey – LB – Cincinnati Bengals

Recorded a solo tackle on defense and played 21 snaps on both defense and special teams against the Cowboys.

Ja’Whaun Bentley – LB – New England Patriots

Recorded five combined tackles (one solo) and played 37 snaps as a starter in the win against the Steelers.

David Bell – WR – Cleveland Browns

Appeared on 26 offensive snaps and made one reception for six yards against the Jets.

Anthony Brown – CB – Dallas Cowboys

As a starter, played 70 snaps (highest on the team) and tallied four solo tackles in the victory against the Bengals.

Derrick Barnes – LB – Detroit Lions

Played 13 snaps and made one tackle on special teams in the 36-27 win against the Commanders.

Brycen Hopkins – TE- Los Angeles Rams

Played four snaps for offense in the 31-27 win against the Falcons.

Zander Horvath – FB – Los Angeles Chargers

Played 28 snaps and caught a one-yard touchdown in the game…
