We are closing in on the game that everyone has had circled on their calendars since Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban got into a back and forth in the media over the summer. As the Aggies are set to face the Alabama Crimson Tide at Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.
The Aggies are hoping to take down the Tide for the second consecutive time, and for just the second time at Bryant Denny since the Aggies joined the SEC. With Alabama back at the top of the USA Today Coaches Poll, and the Aggies out of the rankings completely, it will certainly be a challenge.
We sat down with Stacey Blackwood of Roll Tide Wire for some insight from the Bama perspective.
The thing everyone wants and needs to know. Will Bryce Young play on Saturday? And what changes about the Tide offense with Jalen Milroe?
Right now I would lean that Young plays. If Milroe indeed gets the start, the biggest change you would see is possibly more designed QB runs.
The Tide receivers the last handful of years have just dominated opponents. Who is the “next” guy in this receiver corps that A&M fans will have to watch out for?
Alabama fans are still trying to figure this question out too. My gut feeling is that freshman Isaiah Bond will eventually be the next big-time star at receiver for the Tide.
Will Anderson gets the hype on defense for the Tide (deservedly so), but who are the other guys on defense that will likely stand out?
