College Wire editors vote on Week 7’s Heisman Poll

We have been waiting for a Heisman performance and on Saturday that is exactly what we watched with Tennessee’s quarterback, Hendon Hooker. He needed a huge performance to knock off the Alabama Crimson Tide and the missed field goal by the Tide created an opening.

Last week’s poll featured 13 players, this week remains the same number but Will Anderson, Adrian Martinez, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson fall off. Stetson Bennett and Jahmyr Gibbs return to the poll as Jalin Hyatt appears for the first time.

Each editor picked their top three choices with the top candidate receiving five points, the second choice receiving three points, and the final choice receiving one point.

We break down how each of our 13 candidates fared in the poll, ties are listed in alphabetical order.
