We are one week away from “rivalry Saturday” in the SEC which means, traditionally, that week 12’s slate is full of nonconference snoozers.
Auburn will play its final non-conference game of the 2022 slate on Saturday, but the game will be anything other than a cakewalk. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers come to town, bringing one of the most explosive offenses in the nation.
Western Kentucky quarterback Austin Reed has thrown 31 touchdown passes this season, and has passed for over 3,500 yards. His monster season to this point has landed him on the Davey O’Brien Award Semifinals list alongside many other great quarterbacks in the league.
Outside of Auburn’s game with Western Kentucky, five SEC teams will play nonconference games in week 12, three of whom are against FCS teams.
There will be four games that feature SEC teams battling one another, with Georgia and Kentucky being the headliner.
