Crimson Tide in the NFL Spotlight: Week 10

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The National Football League wrapped up Week 10 of the regular season on Monday night. Below is a look at some of the highlights by former Crimson Tide players currently playing in the NFL.

Tua Tagovailoa led the Miami Dolphins to a 39-17 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, completing 25 of his passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns. With his performance, Tagovailoa joined Kurt Warner as the only players in the NFL’s century-long history with three consecutive games of 275-plus passing yards, three-or-more passing touchdowns and a 135 QBR. The Dolphins’ signal-caller also leads the league in passer rating, touchdown rate and yards per attempt.

Running back Josh Jacobs put together a solid performance for Las Vegas. The Raiders’ tailback carried 21 times for 78 yards and a touchdown while notching six receptions for 28 yards against the Colts. Fellow running back Brian Robinson was impressive on Monday Night Football for the Commanders. The rookie rushed 26 times for 86 yards and a touchdown to help Washington hand the previously undefeated Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season.

Rounding out the offensive group was veteran wide receiver Julio Jones, who made an impact in the first-ever NFL game in Germany. The Buccaneer wideout caught three passes for 53 yards and a touchdown in Tampa’s victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Jones’ early score represented the first NFL touchdown to be recorded in Germany in league history.

On the defensive side, Pittsburgh’s Levi Wallace sealed the victory over New Orleans with an interception on the Saints’ last offensive drive of the game. Wallace collected five tackles and two pass breakups in the Steelers’ 20-10 win. Also excelling in the secondary was Kareem Jackson, who posted five tackles and defended one pass for the Denver Broncos.

Linebacker Rashaan Evans led Atlanta’s defensive effort on Thursday Night Football, posting a team-leading 10 tackles, including two for loss, against the Panthers. The first-year Falcon continues to pace the team in total tackles through 10 contests. Christian Harris also excelled from the linebacker spot, tallying a career-high nine tackles and one pass defended for the Houston Texans.
