Aggies Tight end Blake Smith to enter transfer portal

Aggie kicker Caden Davis has entered the transfer portal

Texas A&M is experiencing what we all expected in the first week after the conclusion of the 2022 season, as the transfer portal has taken over the headlines of practically anything else Aggie related. Just hours after their 38-23 win after the then 5th-ranked LSU Tigers, news came out that Elijah Jeudy would join Donnell Harris in the transfer portal, while linebacker Ish Harris, running back LJ Johnson, Kicker Cade Davis, and wide receiver Chase Lane somewhat unsurprisingly followed down the same path.

On Thursday, the trend continued as injury riddled defensive end Tunmise Adeleye made his portal announcement, and now Tight end Blake Smith has apparently joined him.

Sitting behind a number of talented true freshmen at the position including Donovan Green and Jake Johnson, Smith appeared in only two games this season, accumulating 2 receptions for 1 yard.

Coming out of Southlake, Texas, Smith was 3-Star recruit with good size and speed with hopes of becoming a threat as a receiver down the line. With a change of scenery ahead, hopefully things line up for him.
