Sooners, Crimson Tide pay tribute to Jalen Hurts

During his collegiate career, Jalen Hurts played on the biggest stages football had to offer. He played in the national title game as a true freshman. Although he fell short, that experience would prove incredibly valuable.

After Nick Saban opted to go with Tua Tagovailoa in the second half of the 2017 title game, Hurts would play an invaluable role the following season to help the Crimson Tide get back into the College Football Playoff with a win over Georgia in the SEC championship.

Hurts threw a touchdown and ran for another in the final 5:30 of the game to tie the game and take the lead to beat the Bulldogs.

During his tenure with the Crimson Tide, Hurts was incredibly productive, but it wasn’t until he got to Oklahoma that his passing game took a step.

Lincoln Riley’s offense, combined with Jalen Hurts incredible work ethic, would have led to a Heisman trophy had it not been for the historic year the LSU Tigers and Joe Burrow had.

Jalen Hurts has been on an incredible ride with the Philadelphia Eagles. With arguably their biggest test in front of them, Jalen Hurts has a chance to join some of the greats of the past if he and the Eagles can beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

To pay tribute to the former Sooner and Crimson Tide great, the two universities joined forces to create a tribute to honor their former quarterback and his journey.
