TUCSON, Ariz. – The Wildcats made big touchdown catches, defensive stops, and showed great passion on Day 5 of spring camp.
AJ Jones reeled in a 40-yard touchdown and made his second touchdown reception of the day with a high-point catch over a defensive back. Jonah Coleman powered through tacklers with an unforgiving stiff arm, and Jayden de Laura showed flashes of breakaway speed as well as sound leadership at the quarterback position.
Freshman wide out Devin Hyatt made an impressive touchdown catch in one-on-one drills. On the defensive side of the ball, Isaiah Taylor grabbed an interception and returned it for a touchdown. Edge rusher Sterling Lane II recorded a pass breakup and a sack during team drills.
Running backs coach Scottie Graham and running back Michael Wiley spoke with the media after practice.

Quote of the Day
“You look at our team: we don’t look the same way we did two years ago. Guys have arms now, their backs are bigger. It’s really unique to see our team now.” – Coach Graham.
