2024 DT Jowhar Franklin offered

Michigan football offer: 2026 ATH Demari Clemons

It’s pretty rare that a recruit from the heart of SEC country goes under the radar, but such appears to be the case for an emerging defensive tackle in Louisiana.

Despite having offers from Ohio State, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and Miami, 2024 New Orleans (La.) defensive tackle Jowhar Franklin is unranked by the recruiting services. But, the soon-to-be senior in high school is already 6-foot-6, 300-pounds, so he’s already at an ideal weight to play at the next level.

On Saturday, his offer sheet grew by one, and it’s one the biggest he’s received thus far, as Michigan football extended an opportunity to the rising 2024 player.

Given his offer sheet, it’s more likely than not that the recruiting services are behind, as several other big-time schools are involved in Franklin’s recruitment.

Though schools like Ohio State and Nebraska got involved sooner, it’s unclear if the Wolverines will be able to climb into his top group. Most of his big offers have come within the past month, with OSU offering on March 29, Nebraska offering on April 6, and Colorado offering on April 16.
