Where former Huskers who entered the portal landed

No one change has caused more upheaval to the status quo in college football, like the transfer portal. Nebraska was no stranger to transfer portal headlines.

With a new coaching staff taking over for 2023, roster turnover for the Cornhuskers was expected. Head coach Matt Rhule discussed his preference for 4-year high school recruits, but that doesn’t mean he won’t make additions via the portal when possible.

Rhule has also seen a host of players transfer out of the program. Currently, 12 former Huskers who entered the portal have announced their destination for 2023.

A list of every to player to transfer out of Nebraska and announce a new home can be found below.

Kevin Williams Jr. – Transfered to Charlotte 49ers

Position: Interior Offensive Lineman

Years of Eligibility: One

Stars: 3-stars

Stats: Started in one game before suffering a season-ending ankle injury

Kamonte Grimes – Transfered to Northern Iowa

Position: Wide Receiver

Years of Eligibility: Four

Stars: 3-stars

Stats: Never appeared in a game in 2021 or 2022

Richard Torres – Transfered to Incarnate Word
