Line moves in Dolphins vs. Jets after QB change announcement

The Miami Dolphins, after defeating the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, have a quick turnaround before their Friday matchup against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

According to BetMGM, the Dolphins opened up as 7.5-point favorites for the contest, but with the news that the Jets are changing their starting quarterback, the spread is now up to 10 points. Miami is also favored on the money line, as their victory is now set at -500. The over/under for the contest is just 40 points.

The Dolphins didn’t fair overly well against New York last season, as they lost one matchup 40-17 and won the other one but only scored 11 points. This time, however, they’ll have Tua Tagovailoa under center and hopefully better results.

Robert Saleh’s Jets are having a strange season. Since beating the Buffalo Bills in the opener after Aaron Rodgers went down, they’ve been riding with Zach Wilson at quarterback. Despite his poor performance, they’ve won four games, but he’s a large part of their six losses as well. They’re hoping a chance fixes things, but that doesn’t seem too likely right now.
