The Birmingham Stallions were the best team in the USFL in 2022. They were even better in 2023 on their way to a second championship. And now, once again they are using the offseason to try to build an even better roster on their way to a potential three-peat. They made several roster moves this past week in their quest to build a dynasty.
Wide Receiver Deon Cain
The most familiar addition was wide receiver Deon Cain. Cain was with the Stallions in 2023, serving as one of their top receiving targets. He had a great regular season but exploded during the postseason. He went supernova during the USFL Championship, finishing with 171 total yards and three touchdowns on his way to earning the MVP award.

Cain joins 2022 USFL Championship MVP Victor Bolden on the Stallions roster. The Birmingham Stallions now have two USFL Championship MVPs, both of whom have been electric for the Stallions in their respective seasons. Together, they combined for 2,692 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns as receivers and returners across the past two years. The Stallions will immediately be one of the most dangerous offenses and special teams units in the newly merged league with these two running routes and returning kicks.
Lost amid the merger news was the fact that 2023 USFL Championship MVP @cainera1_ is BACK with the Birmingham Stallions for 2024.
