Dolphins rule out RG Robert Hunt for MNF, place LB Jerome Baker on IR

Adam Schefter provides update on Dolphins LB Jerome Baker’s injury

The Miami Dolphins have been dealing with a number of injuries this season on both sides of the ball, and head coach Mike McDaniel provided some negative injury updates on two players.

On Saturday, McDaniel told reporters that right guard Robert Hunt has been ruled out for Monday night’s battle with the Tennessee Titans, and linebacker Jerome Baker is being placed on injured reserve.

Hunt returned to the starting lineup last week after being out in Weeks 9 and 10 as well as playing just one special teams snap in Week 11. Liam Eichenberg and Lester Cotton will likely be the starting guards again for this matchup.

Baker suffered an MCL injury against the Washington Commanders that McDaniel said would make him week-to-week. However, he’ll now have to miss at least four weeks, making him eligible to return for the final game of the regular season.

Miami only has one designation to return left to use and Isaiah Wynn and Baker are the two main candidates for that spot. McDaniel said on Saturday that this decision doesn’t mean that they’ll use the designation on Baker over someone else.

The Dolphins signed Calvin Munson to provide some linebacker depth in the meantime.
