Across the country and in virtually every other state, high school football players are able to play in 7-vs.-7 tournaments without issues.
Unfortunately for Ohio State football safety target Trey McNutt, due to his participation in such events he could be forced to miss a few of his games this season. As first reported by 247Sports Steve Wiltfong, the 6-foot, 180-pound Shaker Heights star may have to sit out some of this senior season.
Honestly, itโs a silly rule, one that is holding Ohio back in football. Other state also allow spring practices, something the Buckeye State also does not do. They also canโt participate in pad events at camps.

McNutt complained about the rule as well, claiming โitโs taking control of the kids.โ Hard to argue against him, as this rule hurts more than it helps.
In some good news, the second-ranked safety and 37th overall player on the 247Sports composite is expected to take a spring visit to Columbus.
