Jordan Magee is a box linebacker who doesn’t have the top athleticism to catch backs sideline to sideline, but might also lack the size to hold up inside.
So how would he help any team that drafted him?
His mentality, attitude, intelligence, and aggression are his calling cards. He makes plays downhill, beating blockers to the spot to squeeze past them and make tackles. He can get moved by blockers, but bounces off them regularly to make plays as well. Not every prospect selected in a draft is going to make an impact as a starter, but special teams are also important, and he is built to be an ace on that unit. This might be a pick for special teams coach John Fassel more than for Zimmer.
