Oregon and USC might battle over defensive line portal prospects

Our friends at Ducks Wire have their own spring transfer portal shopping list. If you want to keep tabs on the competition for the USC Trojans in the Big Ten, Oregon is a good place to start. We know that USC needs interior defensive linemen in the spring portal window. Of all the position groups on the Ducks’ roster, which one is the most likely to gain some reinforcements this spring? It’s the very same unit as USC’s: the interior defensive line.

Here’s Ducks Wire editor Zachary Neel, who says the probability of adding interior defensive linemen this spring is “high” in Eugene:

“The Ducks did a great job in the early portal window by adding Ja’Maree Caldwell to the roster, but I think they will certainly try to pick up another piece at this position during this window as well. There are a couple of names floating out there of players who have yet to enter the portal that would be intriguing, so if they do end up becoming available, you can expect Oregon to pounce quickly.”

We will soon find out if Oregon and USC are battling for the same interior defensive line prospects in the spring transfer portal window.
