Ahead of a week five matchup against Memphis, the Michigan Panthers have made a change to their wide receiver room. Free Agent Gavin Holmes has signed with the team, and the Panthers have released Jordan Suell.
Looking to add a new spark to the offense, the @USFLPanthers have signed WR Gavin Holmes out of Baylor.
Holmes went undrafted in ’23 but spent camp time with the Titans.

Beginning with Jordan Suell, he joined the team during the dispersal draft process. Suell played with the Philadelphia Stars the past two USFL years and was a big piece of their offense, prior to suffering a season-ending injury in 2023.
During his USFL career, Suell totaled 500 receiving yards and three touchdowns. In the 2022 postseason, he posted 93 receiving yards and two scores – both of which came in the Championship game.
Great news for the @USFLStars: @Jordan_Suell is back.
Jordan Suell was sensational for Philadelphia in 2022. Finished the season with 376 yards & 3 TD’s. His #USFL Championship performance was legendary. Size, speed, superb hands – Suell has it all.pic.twitter.com/embp5vT9Nc

In the UFL, Suell never found his footing with the Michigan Panthers. He caught four passes for 26 yards, but was targeted only eight times. He finished his season with a 46.7 PFF grade through four games.
Enter Gavin Holmes. He played his college football at Baylor – totaling six years of action. He racked up 72 receptions for 927 yards and seven touchdowns across that span. He also has some experience on kickoff and punt returns.
