Eagles sign Lew Nichols to the practice squad


The Eagles have waived four players ahead of rookie minicamp.

Elliss signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and spent the entire season on the Reserve/Non-football injury list. The defensive tackle was released in August and re-signed to the practice squad in Week 8. Elliss signed a Reserve/Future contract at the end of the season.

Hebert spent the first half of the 2023 season with Seattle before signing to the Eagles’ practice squad in Week 16. Hebert played collegiately at Louisiana Tech (2018-22), registering 1,532 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. The versatile receiver signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Eagles.

Mullen spent time on and off the Eagles’ practice squad this season. He was signed to a Reserve/Future contract in January. Mullen played 40 games at Indiana (2019-22), posting 144 tackles, 33 pass defenses, five interceptions, and four forced fumbles.

Smith signed to the Eagles’ practice squad in November and was given a Reserve/Future contract following the season. He was a sixth-round draft pick for Arizona in 2022, playing 10 games (two starts).
