With the season ending injury to JoJo Tillery, the Birmingham Stallions have re-signed T.J. Carter. Carter has spent time with the team previously, and won the Championship with the team in 2023.

In 2023, T.J. Carter made an impact in the secondary. He totaled 31 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble. He primarily was a depth piece, not starting in any games – but proving his value to the team throughout the season.

According to PFF, T.J. posted a 60.1 Defensive Grade.
Carter had an excellent college career at Memphis, racking up 249 tackles, a sack, and eight interceptions. This led to some NFL interest, and he was eventually picked up by the Los Angeles Rams. T.J. was active for a couple of games during the 2022 season, recording a tackle.
Now, Carter is back in Birmingham. The Stallions are undefeated, and it makes sense for General Manager Zach Potter to bring a player back into a familiar system, as T.J. worked with John Chavis a year ago.
