COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Five University of Maryland football players have recently been added to NFL rosters after the 2024 NFL Draft concluded.

Safey Beau Brade and offensive lineman Corey Bullock are currently with the Baltimore Ravens, while offensive lineman Gottlieb Ayedze (Philadelphia Eagles), wide receiver Jeshaun Jones (Minnesota Vikings) and defensive back Ja’Quan Sheppard (Las Vegas Raiders) are also competing for jobs in the NFL.

These five Terps will join NFL draftees Delmar Glaze (third round, Las Vegas Raiders) and Tarheeb Still (fifth round, Los Angeles Chargers) at various team held rookie minicamps, mandatory minicamps and OTA offseason workouts throughout the summer.

Brade was a linchpin for Maryland’s defense over the last several seasons. The safety started 25 games for the Terps over the last two years, totaling 160 tackles (103 solo), leading the team in tackles during both his junior and senior seasons.

During his senior campaign in 2023, Brade posted 75 tackles (48 solo), six pass breakups, four tackles for loss and recorded an interception and forced fumble. He was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in both 2022 and 2023, and was voted by his teammates as one of the team captains at the end of the 2023 regular season.

Brade played a major role in Maryland’s success during his final three seasons in College Park. He contributed in each of the Terrapins three bowl wins over the last three years and he helped Maryland’s defense hold opponents to just 22.5 points per game this past season, the fewest points allowed by a Terps defense since 2010.
