The Eagles have departed the NovaCare Complex until late July, where they’ll return for training camp with a deep and versatile depth chart and an overall roster starting to take shape.
Philadelphia previously had the lightest OTA workload of any team in the league, but that changed after last season’s collapse. The team had six OTA sessions before three days of mandatory minicamp (June 4-6) that gave some insight into who’ll make the roster and potential bubble players.
Vic Fangio’s revamped defense will look different after Fletcher Cox announced his retirement and Hasson Reddick was traded to the New York Jets. A secondary shredded in 2023 has new faces in Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. A tone-setter also returned after C.J. Gardner-Johnson signed a three-year deal.
With training camp just five weeks away, we’re predicting the defensive depth chart following Minicamp.
Starter –Bryce Huff
2nd–Brandon Graham
Graham will play his final season in Philadelphia, while Huff will start the first year of a three-year deal as he looks to replace Haason Reddick as the Eagles’ primary pass rusher.
Starter –Jalen Carter
2nd-Milton Williams
3rd-Gabe Hall
4th–PJ Mustipher
This will be the first year without Fletcher Cox, and it’s Jalen Carter’s opportunity to breakout into an All-Pro. Milton Williams is entering a contract year, and could be the best player at the position.
Starter–Jordan Davis
2nd –Marlon Tuipulotu
3rd–Moro Ojomo
4th–Thomas Booker IV
Davis has slimmed down, and he’ll enter a critical year three with Fletcher Cox retiring. Marlon Tuipulotu has been solid when given playing time, while Moro Ojomo could make the biggest jump….
