S Talanoa Hufanga set to return in Week 14 vs. Bears

49ers All-Pro starter ‘has chance’ to return to secondary in Week 2

With most players already being ruled out or added to the injured reserve early in the week, there weren’t any surprises for the San Francisco 49ers’ list of inactives for their Week 14 contest in Santa Clara against the Chicago Bears.

Nick Bosa (hip oblique) and Trent Williams (ankle) lead the list of 49ers inactives against the Bears on Sunday. Along with guard Aaron Banks (concussion) and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (knee), newly signing running back Israel Abanikanda are listed as inactive against the Bears. Flannigan-Fowles was initially listed as questionable with a knee injury earlier in the week.

While the 49ers will be without multiple key players against the Bears, they will welcome back star safety Talanoa Hufanga on Sunday. The 49ers activated Hufanga from the injured reserve Hufanga last played in Week five against the Arizona Cardinals.
