Penn State’s linebacker situation in 2022 is worth a close examination. After losing two starters to the NFL from the 2021 roster, Penn State returns one starter with Curtis Jacobs (pictured above). Experienced safety Jonathan Sutherland has been converted to linebacker since the end of last season, beginning with the Outback Bowl last season, to provide some veteran leadership and physicality.
