San Francisco 49ers 2022 rookie rankings

Welcome to 49ers 2022 rookie power rankings!

We’ll be taking periodic looks at the 49ers’ 2022 rookies throughout training camp and the preseason to see how the first-year players are faring in their introduction to the NFL.

Not all rookies are equal. Some were drafted on Day 2. Others went undrafted. Others play positions where they’ll have a chance to make an impact, while others are in spots where they won’t see the field much (if at all) in their first professional season.

There’s no true frontrunner there going into training camp and Womack made a name for himself at Toledo by overcoming adversity and carving out a long-term role despite making the team as a walk-on. He was a fifth-round pick for San Francisco so he’s not exactly a walk-on, but his experience taking hold of opportunities puts him in a good spot to steal the nickel job once he gets on the field.

There may not be a more fascinating first-year player to watch than Davis-Price. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he struggles to shine in a practice setting before bursting onto the scene in a preseason game where his size and physicality can really stand out. He won’t be handed an opportunity for carries, but he’ll get…
